Limits and risks
Not audited. The contracts have been tested on a fork of the real chain, with real rounds. They have not been reviewed by an independent auditor. Do not put serious money behind a draw yet.
Technical limits
- Public at once. When a round is signed everyone sees it. It is useless for secrets; it is for fairness.
- One network. Only drand quicknet is supported. A different network means a different key and a different contract constant.
- Equal tickets only. Weights are written as repeated entries. A true weighted draw is not implemented.
- Winner count. Selection cost grows with the square of winners. Tested up to 20.
- Time comes from
block.timestamp. A sequencer can nudge it by a little. The minimum lead of 2 rounds absorbs that. - Not deployed. There are no addresses to point to yet.
Human limits
- A draw is only as fair as its rules: who can enter, until when, how the list is published. Cricket makes the choice unbiased, not the surrounding process.
- Raffles can count as gambling in some places. That is your responsibility, not the contract's.
- If the network key or the relays change, old proofs stay valid for their own round, but the contract constants would need an update.
The coin
$CRICKET funds the build and is not used by the contracts. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
